Because of the scale of this scheme, the material has been separated over three pages:

Progress reports - including timeline. Was updated regularly during works.

Details of the Scheme - with maps, photos and plans of each junction.

Problems and notes - problems with the scheme and notes on the A12 in its original form.

The M1 and A12 Westlink together form the main approach to Belfast from the west and south. The A12 is also the main route linking the M1 to the M2 and M3 and Belfast and Larne ports. This project saw the route from Stockman's Lane on the M1 to Divis Street on the Westlink widened to three lanes and the Grosvenor Road and Broadway roundabouts grade-separated (ie replaced with flyovers and sliproads).
